Measurement Guide

Your made-to-measure suit (jacket, waistcoat and trousers) is cut from the measurements you enter on the product page. Use a soft tape measure, wear a fitted shirt and ask someone to help. All measurements are in inches.

Jacket & Waistcoat

Jacket LengthFrom the base of the collar at the back, straight down to where you want the jacket to end.

Neck / CollarAround the base of the neck, with one finger under the tape.

Shoulder WidthAcross the back, from one shoulder edge to the other.

Sleeve LengthFrom the shoulder edge down to the wrist bone, arm relaxed by your side.

ChestAround the fullest part of the chest, under the arms. Breathe normally.

TummyAround the fullest part of the stomach. Stand relaxed; don't pull it in.

HipsAround the widest part of the hips and seat, feet together.

Trousers

Trouser LengthOutside of the leg, from the waistband down to the floor, without shoes.

WaistAround where you normally wear your trousers.

ThighAround the fullest part of one thigh, just below the crotch.

KneeAround one knee, with the leg straight.

Trouser BottomThe opening at the hem, all the way round. Around 15–17 for a slim fit, 18–20 for a classic fit.

Seat / RiseFrom the front waistband, down between the legs and up to the back waistband.

Inseam OptionalFrom the crotch down to the floor, along the inside of the leg.
TapeKeep it level and snug, but not tight. You should be able to slide a finger underneath.
PostureStand straight and relaxed, feet together, looking ahead. Don't hold your breath.
ClothingMeasure over a fitted shirt and light trousers, never over a jacket or jumper.
